CHARLESTON - Interest is churning anew in the West Virginia Legislature to tighten the access to pseudoephedrine — a critical element in the making of addictive meth — by requiring a prescription to purchase it.
Behind the push is a batch of alarming statistics, showing that meth lab busts have risen dramatically, despite the use of electronic monitoring of sales via the National Precursor Log Exchange, or NPLEx.
